Black Rock was visited by the local Gold Coast Racers Association in that they did security for the racing of both Spirit of America for Craig Breedlove and Thrust II for the English, Green and Noble. What a sight to see those cars go. A lot of standing and waiting but, when it happened it was a thrill of a lifetime. Seeing the photos of the breaking the sound barrier on land showed the pushing of the mass of air. A fantastic photo. On display at Museum of Gas Pumps.
